WE WANT to hear about everyone who makes Marple a great place to be!
That may be someone who works tirelessly to fundraise, an individual who has excelled in their chosen field or an unsung hero who does great work.
If you know someone who deserves recognition then help us shine a light on their achievements!

Tell us the name of the person or group you want to nominate along with the category you are nominating them for.
Then tell us in as much detail as possible why you think they deserve a Proud of Marple award.
Please include your name and a contact number.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses and organisations to get involved in the awards which we hope will become an important and positive part of Marple's calendar.
The categories include:
• Charity Fundraiser/Team
• Community Neighbour
• Charity of the year
• Sporting Achievement
• Community Group
We also have categories for younger members of our community aged up to 21:
• Young Fundraiser
• Young Volunteer
• Young Sportsperson
• Young team of the Year (Sport, entertainment, dance groups, theatre groups, the arts)
The shortlist will be published, both online and in the paper, and our eventual winners will receive an engraved trophy and certificate.
We are planning to announce the winners and recognise their contribution at an awards' ceremony.
